World Book Day

On Thursday 5th March 2020 the children celebrated World Book Day by coming to school dressed as their favourite book character.  The costumes and effort put in by the children and their families was amazing.  Check out some of the fantastic characters that our children chose to come dressed as.

Italian Themed Day

In October 2019 the school held a special day celebrating all things Italian.

The children came to school wearing something to represent the colours of the Italian flag, green, white or red, and took part in lots of Italian themed activities.

Year R made the Italian flag using different coloured pasta and made pasta decorated photo frames.

Year 1 learnt about the Italian artists, Michelangelo and Modigliani.

Year 2 designed and made gondolas that would actually float in water and clay replicas of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

All the children made pizza and learnt how to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' in Italian.

At lunchtime the children sat down to an Italian inspired menu of Pasta Bolognaise or Margherita Pizza.
