Our Y2 School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives them the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
Children are elected to the School Council after due democratic process. The children complete an application form and deliver a presentation after which their peers register their votes in our ballot box. The votes are subsequently counted and the 6 candidates with the highest number of votes will be invited to make up the School Council.
The School Council's current project is raising money for our chosen charity of the year, Cancer Research UK and raising funds to extend our 'Merton Adventure Land' play equipment.
The School Council also supports our 'playground buddy' scheme and give their views on how to improve playtimes.
