Sophie Wells

Sophie is the Vice Chair of the Governing Body.  Sophie decided to become a school governor after moving to Basingstoke in 2024 and wanted to become more involved within the local community.

 

She started her legal career in 2017 after finishing her A-Levels and completing a two-year apprenticeship at a law firm in London specialising in commercial dispute resolution. In 2019, she began working in childcare law where she discovered her passion for child protection, safeguarding and encouraging each child to achieve their full potential. Alongside her work commitments, she has completed her Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice and will qualify as a lawyer by the end of 2025.

 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat Rocky, reading, gardening and volunteering at a local Brownies group.
