Friends of Merton was set up in November 2011 to replace the PTA (Parent Teacher Association). We are a group of parents/carers, supported by the Headteacher and the staff of the school, who meet regularly to organise social events for both adults and children. We raise funds to purchase additional resources to enhance children's learning.
Our committee meetings are relaxed and informal, and although our numbers are few our enthusiasm to help the school is great.
We would be delighted to welcome you to our committee. Holding events takes a lot of organising and we rely on volunteers to help set up and man stalls etc. If you are available to help out at any events please contact us via the office. Sometimes it is hard work, but we have fun too, and it's a nice feeling to know we are working together for the benefit of our children.
